Local authorities and communities have worked tirelessly to clean up and repair the damage, ensuring that tourists can safely enjoy the natural beauty and cultural richness of these areas.

Hai Phong

Cat Ba is a popular destination for nature lovers. The island features Cat Ba National Park, which has 4,500 hectares of primeval forest and is home to many rare plants and animals, including langurs, black squirrels, and Chittagong wood.

However, the island was one of the hardest hit by the typhoon. It experienced severe damage with blown roofs, fallen trees, and disruptions to electricity, water, and telecom services. Now, all local roads have been cleared, and about 30% of restaurants and hotels are back in business.

Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh Province also suffered significant damage from the typhoon. However, tourist boat operations resumed nearly a week after the storm. So now, the area has been cleaned up, and tourism activities are returning to normal.

Halong Bay aims to attract over 9.5 million visitors in 2024.
