Da Nang Surpasses Annual Tourist Target in Just Seven Months in 2024

Da Nang, Vietnam – The coastal city has shattered its annual international tourist target for 2024, welcoming over 2.5 million foreign visitors by the end of July. This remarkable achievement represents a 34% surge compared to the same period last year, according to data released by the municipal Statistics Office.

The city’s overall tourism industry is booming, with lodging facilities serving a combined 6.6 million domestic and international guests – a 33% increase year-on-year.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism elaborated that the coastal city has actively promoted local tourism through various events, such as receiving fam-trip delegations and joining travel fairs.

The city’s tourism authority also facilitated the launch of new direct air services linking Da Nang with destinations in China, Indonesia, India, Japan, and Australia. The coastal Vietnamese city also promoted cruise, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and wedding tourism for couples.
